Support FAQ

Why can't I access the site?

Please make sure you are not using a search engine such as Google or Yahoo to type in the URL. The best way to access the member center is to open your browser and type into the address bar. There is no "www" needed.

What browsers do you support?

To best view the Member Center, make sure you are using one of the following Browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 9 or above
  • Google Chrome
  • Firefox 3 or above

Is the Member Center secure?

Yes, the Member Center is accessible only through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL encrypts all of the data that is transmitted from your computer to the server with 128-bit encryption. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will also notice a padlock at the bottom right of the window indicating the site is secure.

What is my customer number?

Customer number is also sometimes referred to as your "member number". It is provided on your Membership Card you received when your initial policy was issued. It is also the first 4-6 numbers of your insurance policy. The customer number contains numbers only. For example, policy #123456-1 would have a customer number of 123456 - no dashes, no extra numbers. If you are not sure what your Customer Number is, call AAFMAA's Policy Services Department at 1-800-336-4538, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:30 pm, ET.

Where can I get my policy number?

Your policy number is provided on your Certificate of Insurance which you received upon approval of your application. It is also located on your Annual Statement.

What if I don't have an email address?

You will need to maintain an email address in the Member Center in order to have online access. This email address will be used to communicate change and updates to your online information as well as be used for password or login ID retrieval. Free email accounts are available from Google, Yahoo, Hotmail as well as other sources.
